'Pretty' Goes Goth??? 'THE INN SERIES....

♥When I told Steve Silverman I was going through 'Pretty' withdrawals, he mentioned a new web series he was working on which got me massively excited.  Anything Steve does I know will be great and he's teamed up with his good friend, fellow award winning series creator, the incomparable Emma Caulfield.  You might recognize her from the hit web series 'Bandwagon' and though she co-created this series, she's also going to star in it. 

♥The Inn Series is a thriller, XFile-esq, supernatural type show with a twist of Alfred Hitchcock, whom Steve wanted to pay homage to.  Will we see Steve cameo in each episode?  We won't know unless we get it made so please support this web series and let's make it happen!  They've started an Indiegogo Campaign, with some really cool prizes for donating, like your name in the credits at the end of each episode and signed script.  Please get behind this project today!

"Soap 451"- Truly the Fan's Voice!

"Soap 451, A Time Capsule of Daytime Drama's Greatest Moments" was created by longtime soap fan Alina Adams, for soap fans. 
Fans posted what their favorite scenes were, then the writers, producers, actors of each scene was interviewed and the story of how that scene was created was told.  What's really cool and unique about this ebook, is the link to each scene spoken within the book is provided for the audience to watch on the spot!  How many times have you heard about a scene but never saw it...now you can! It's a very innovative idea that was sparked when Alina first worked for P&G- she volunteered to go into the archives whenever they needed it and then over the years, with technology evolving, decided to utilize it to the fullest extent!

RHeart Radio's Angiosarcoma Fundraiser

Angiosarcoma is probably one of the most, if not the most, deadliest and lethal of cancers.  Even with today's technology physicians know very little about this disease and once diagnosed patients have at most, 2 years.  



When I found out our friend Raven Beauty was diagnosed with this horrible disease, I was devastated.  I, like many of us, have depended on her over the years to give us our soap scoops.  She's been through so much and imagine my surprise when she called in to RHeart Radio during our tribute to her!  I still remember trying to comprehend the reason she was calling was to say goodbye- what do you say?  When I told her I was planning to do a fundraiser for breast cancer, she requested we raise money for research of Angiosarcoma- I won't let her down!



On October 1st-3rd RHeart will host a fundraiser and ALL PROCEEDS will go for research!  A little preview of a couple items to bid on...

All My Children & One Life To Live On Hulu???

The networks maybe not want our soaps but could Hulu be the answer??  Both AMC & OLTL are currently sitting on the shelf gathering dust while fans are clamoring to see them- wouldn't it be great to have access to them on Hulu?  It would be a classy move on Hulu's part and smart- if they make these shows available and then track the audience viewership it will prove once and for all soaps are in DEMAND!  Please post a comment on this thread and lets make this happen!!!

HULU Discussion- AMC & OLTL

Dish Net Drops AMC....

Once again, channels that offer award winning hit shows like Mad Men, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, The Killing and Indie films are being axed!  If you love WeTV, Sundance, IFC or AMC you'll have to find another cable provider that carries them.  I was livid that yet again, greed has raised its' ugly head and who gets screwed? The customers and fans! 

Trial is set for Sept. 18th re: a breach of contract between a subsiderary of DISH VOOM HD and DISHNET; Courts denied DISH NET's appeal, so they have decided to remove AMC.  They have also suggested dropping additional favorite networks and shows offered by major satellite & cable providers.  Per Nielsen Media Research- AMC released this statement: 

“AMC Networks has some of the most acclaimed programming on television, with shows like “Mad Men,” “The Walking Dead” and “Breaking Bad.” In fact, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” is the number one scripted drama with DISH subscribers."

If you're as upset as I am about this please let them know!  The website listed below also has a provider locator and using your zip code, can tell you which cable company carries these channels.  If you do switch providers, be sure to lodge a formal complaint and tell them why you are cancelling their service.

I am soooo excited to do our True Blood Tribute show on Wednesday night!  I have loved this series since day one and now that 'The Authority' has arrived, I have a feeling things are about to get really bloody!  We will be chatting with none other than the one and only  Carolyn Hennesy, who has arrived in Bon Temp as the new vamp with 'The Authority'.  Looking forward to asking about her experiences on the set with all those hot men! Get ready for a sinful chat as we discuss all things True Blood!  The Season 5 premiere is Sunday, June 10th on HBO!

DeVanity Fans Update....

*To say I have love for this web series is an understatement!  Michael Caruso has created an amazing show that is about to get extra down & dirty!


Dynasty veteran Gordon Thomson has joined the cast as 'The Godfather' Preston Regis!  You may all recognize him as Adam Carrington and today was his first day on set with the DeVanity crew.  But he's not the only Regis in town.  Another heavy hitter joining the cast is Arianne Zucker as Julia Regis.  You may recognize her as Nichole from Days of Our Lives.  She'll play alongside her real-life hubby Kyle Lowder, who returns as the scheming jewelry rival Andrew Regis.  All I will say is I think Jason and family just might have to make a deal with the devil....

Not only will we see the Regis clan, we finally see Richard DeVanity!  Maxwell Caulfield has been cast as the DeVanity Patriarch, but is he alive??  Do I smell a scandal??  Interestingly his sister Francesca DeVanity, played by Dallas darling Charlene Tilton strolls into town ready to lay down the law!  Something tells me she's about to give the siblings a run for their money!  


Also returning this season is Robin Riker as Angelica Roth. I have a feeling things are going to get very messy the for DeVanity clan!  Does Alex survive the shooting?  If not, now she'll have to grieve AGAIN for her son.  What about her daughter?  Last we heard she has been recovering in Pasadena under all of their noses!  


Hang on tight, it's gonna be a bumpy but very fun Season 3, set to return January 12, 2013.

REVENGE OF THE SOCK.....

If someone told me last week I'd be writing a blog about a sock I would have told them they were ready for the looney bin!  Alas, here I am at 1:30 in the morning doing just that...noooo, I'm not crazy!  


When I first saw this new web series up for an award on Mingle TV I was like, seriously?  However when I saw this sock with eyes my curiosity was peaked so I ventured on, thinking there is no way this could be worthy of an award nomination...I was wrong!  I could not stop laughing with each new episode and I decided the world really needed to know all about 'Revenge of the Sock' and his evil plan for world domination! The series centers around a serial killer, who is trying to get enough money to hatch his evil plan- whichever one he's working on a the moment, like poisoning his roommate or ransoming him with his girlfriend for money!  If you have an off-beat and somewhat morbid sense of humor, I highly recommend this unique, ingenious and diabolical series!

Fumbling Has Lots Coming Up for Season 2...

Fumbling Thru The Pieces...

This multiple award winning web series created by Julie A. Smith is a 'Dramedy' gem and if you love quirky characters mixed with soapy drama, this is the show for you!  Of course if you're going to make a web series, having Soap Goddess Hilary B. Smith heading up the cast doesn't hurt either!  But that's not the only reason I fell in love with this show immediately- the cast really does have great chemistry and each character makes their indelible mark...

First we have the psychic and ex-corporate executive Ellie, played by the incomparable Hilary B. Smith- a bit flighty but fiercely loyal to little sister Jessie, played by Kelsey Robinson who has finally left her crazy, neglectful, two-timing husband!  The fact Ellie didn't recognize her own sister's voice on the phone or tell her hubby of their new 'roommate' was priceless!  Then there's Ellie's next door neighbor and friend Chara, played by the ever so talented Diane Delano.  Though Chara explained she teaches actors how to release their inner primal urges, little does Jess know she' actually making porn videos!  With witty quips such as, "Okie, dokie, smokie" and "poodle pants", Diane's character is the sidekick to Hilary's air-headed Ellie.  In an interesting soap opera twist- Chara's ex-best friend Stella, played by veteran Kitty Swank, actually married Chara's father giving new meaning to the word step-monster!  Upon his death, though he left the talent agency to his wife, Stella must continue to get Chara acting auditions.  Funnny Chara has been 'killed' 17 times!  Coincidence or is Stella trying to tell her something???   I smell conflict between these 'Frenemies' on the horizon!

If one resident psychic isn't enough for you, how about another?  Ellie's psychic, free-spirited Vegan and alcoholic friend Barb played by Tara Charcol-Joyce, shows up unannounced...drunk after an impromptu sexual encounter!  With all this estrogen, how does Ellie's hardworking blue-collar husband Vince, played by the ever so sexy Robert Maffia, handle her crazy friends dropping in left and right?  Especially when he's about to have sex with his wife?!  He's got his hands full with this crew and there is no testosterone in sight...or "mattress mambo!"  I have a feeling he'll be running a 'bed & breakfast' any day now and better break out those cots soon based on the list of new residents about to arrive!

I see storm clouds forming on the horizon...Knots Landing veteran Michelle Lee joins the cast as Ellie & Jesse's mother, who is about to blow into town.  Wonder what she has up her sleeve?  A Lesbian lover perhaps??  Bobby Eakes, whom you may recall as Krystal from All My Children, has also joined the cast as 'Janice' and will not get a warm welcome from Ellie.  Finally, True Blood alum and veteran Dale Raoul enters the scene as a devious lawyer.  My guess is things are going to get very dicey, complicated and emotional!

Better saddle up...as Jesse says, "It's like the Jerry Springer show and we're all starring in it!"

XFiles to Ragged Isle???

The XFiles to Ragged Isle???

Anyone that loves the XFiles should be watching the award winning SciFi-Paranormal web series Ragged Isle.  Season 2 began with 'Men In Black' (aka) FBI and the Center for Disease Control arriving by ferry, complete with black helicopters and more questions than answers.  Those of us who have been missing the XFiles have a new series to sink our teeth into!  What's going on?  Well,  here's a brief recap...maybe you'll be able to figure it out because I'm still scratching my head!

Ragged Isle centers around the residents of this mysterious island and all began when Vicki Burke stepped off the ferry.  She immediately got a sense that things were not as they seemed, whispers on the wind warning of some underlying, unseen threat.  Resident psychic Madam Clelia set the tone from her first meeting with the new local and from there, things just got more and more strange.  Several townsfolk ended up dead, autopsies indicated drowning- what's so weird about that?  Only the fact that the victims were completely dry and died several miles inland, away from the island's ominous shores!  Vikki was warned never to enter the forbidden north-end of the island, however, she has yet to discover why.  The annual 'Lobster Fest' turned out to be a 'Blood Fest', as residents suddenly dropped dead quicker than flies in an insect zapper!  Now the FBI and Center for Disease Control have arrived.  What will they uncover?  Why are half of the residence on the island dead?  Will Vikki uncover the cause or be the next victim?  Tune in every other Tuesday for new episodes of Season 2....
